Busy days, these days

It is quite these weeks at my blog. Working hard these days to get the Q&A environment of one of our customers running so my Content Separation project can go Live :). Tomorrow is the final day, we’ll visit the final stage: production. So time for me to pick up my series again(can rewrite/change a lot as the customer has decided to alter the client behaviors. Guess that’s one of the most interesting parts of DSDM driven development, you’ll receive feedback.
I’ve also evaluated the work of the development team last week, although there are plenty of points to improve the process, we’ve seen that everyone worked hard to reach our deadline. And although we didn’t make it exactly, we have delivered some excellent products over the last months. Some special thanks goes out to Max(direct colleague), Robrecht(developer at out customer) and Edwin(teamlead during the project, developer LogicaCMG). Therefor, we went to a basketball game last week. Just to have fun and see the other side sit back in my spare time. 2 presentations have passed the revue and another one is upcoming. I’ll post the slides as soon as the presentations are done(12 december).

Today, VS2008 has been released, so time to upgrade! Have asked our IT department to download it for me this week, so I can run the stable version a.s.a.p..

Anyway, there also a version of my toolkit upcoming for some early adopters of my technology ;). The toolkit will in general include functionality for:

  • Easy Navigation and Sitemap creating(Default ASP.NET WebControls)
  • Make the output 100% semantic and XHTML compliant
  • MasterVariableReplacers++
  • Support for ExpressionBuilders with support for Settings, Translations and Items/Fields(thanks for the hint Alexey)
  • Site based configuration
  • Item based configuration
  • And much more to come!

Time to sleep now, hopefully more tomorrow :). Take care and happy coding.
